If you’re passing through Hambleton, Beningbrough Hall is a large Georgian mansion near the village of Beningbrough and overlooks the River Ouse. Looked after by The National Trust, it has baroque interiors, cantilevered stairs, wood carving and central corridors which run the length of the house (YO30 1DD).
But perhaps more famous is the white horse on Hambleton Hills (YO61 4AN).
The district includes the towns of Bedale, Thirsk, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Easingwold.
