Laura Naser – Penningtons Manches Cooper LLP

I’m a Senior Associate Family Law specialist solicitor with expertise in separation (if you’re unmarried or married), divorce and children’s matters, to include international complexities and urgent issues. I am a member of Resolution, and work in adherence to their code of conduct to assist my clients to have amicable resolutions to their family law matters. I work in collaboration with my clients to understand them and their issues, and with an eye for detail and expertise for complexities I guide them from the beginning to the end resolution of their dispute.

You can find me as @thefamilylawyer on Instagram, which I use to break down barriers to make family law accessible and understandable to the public whilst offering public anonymity and sensitivity to your family law issues (you don’t have to follow me or ‘like’ my posts to access them!).

With my years of experience as a family lawyer I have authored The Family Lawyer’s Guide to Separation and Divorce – How to Get What you Both Want which was published by Penguin Random House in December 2019. It is ‘your family lawyer in a book’ and go-to guide if you are thinking about separation, throughout the process of separation and for disputes about children.

Most recently I have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Family Law Awards for Family Law Commentator of the Year, named as a Super Advisor in the Citywealth 2019 Future Leaders Top 100, and shortlisted as a finalist for the Citywealth Innovative Individual of the Year and as a finalist for Family Lawyer of the Year – Senior. I was named as a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 2017 lawyer guide and I have written many published articles for Lexology, Jordons Family Law, Lexis Nexis and the New Law Journal.

I cover Surrey and London. Please feel free to get in touch for initial guidance from myself or one of my colleagues.

Laura's book - is highly recommended by us here at The Group Hug!

I was delighted to meet Laura at one of her London book launches in the weeks before the pandemic hit and in fact, I think it was one of my final trips into the city! Laura is a wonderfully warm person and if I was getting divorced again (I need to get married again first!) - I would definitely want her on my side. Laura's book is written in a style which makes the reader feel as though Laura is in the room with them.

I felt like I was sitting having a cup of tea with Laura as she explained family law and divorce in layman's terms to me. It's a great book, full of information, and whether you have a solicitor or not, this book is a superb purchase to use as reference or in those moments where you just don't know what is happening and need something explaining.
